Oxygen Bar Just Blue Me Away!

Hello Lacquer Luvers! As promised, I have my first Valentine's Day mani to share with you guys today. Before I get into it, I just want to say THANK YOU to each and every one of you! LuvMyLacquer hit 1,000 followers this weekend and I am still over-the-moon with excitement about that! You all have been so supportive since day one and I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate you for joining me on my blogging journey and having me as part of this amazing community.

Today's manicure is a little unconventional when it comes to the Valentine's Day theme. It's not your typical pink, red and white manicure but it sure is cutesy and would be great to wear on the day for lovers, don't you think? Let me share with you how I achieved this look.

This manicure began with two coats each of Essie Play Date and Bettina 190. The formula for both of these polishes is really nice. They went on smoothly and had a high gloss finish without a topcoat. I chose these colors to play up the fabulous glitter I used, Loaded Lacquer Oxygen Bar. Oxygen Bar is described as matte neon pink, matte neon blue, metallic purple, holographic lavender and periwinkle hex and squares in multiple sizes. I love everything about this polish. The neon glitters are incredibly eye catching while the periwinkle glitter lends a softer feel and the tiny holographic glitter keeps it playful.

These stamping decals were created with Pueen43, Cult Nails Tempest, Sally Hansen Blue Me Away!, & China Glaze Gothic Lolita. I applied a coat of Orly Prisma Gloss Silver because..well, one could never have too much holo sparkliness, right? I sealed all of cuteness in with a coat of my favorite glossy topcoat, HKGirl, and voilĂ !

Do you all love this mani as much as I do? I just love the glitter in Oxygen Bar and it was a great inspiration for this look. Did you know that you have a chance of winning this polish and lots more goodies by entering my Fan Appreciation Giveaway? Are there any looks you'd like to see from me for Valentine's Day? As always, I hope you all enjoyed this post my dear Lacquer Luvers and I look forward to sharing my next post with you, xo!

Quite Frank(en)ly, I Love Pink Wednesday!

Hello Lacquer Luvers! It's the middle of the week and that means it's time for Pink Wednesday! This one is very very special as I have a beautiful franken that I created to share with you all as well! I really hope you enjoy this post even though it's pretty late =)

My manicure today began with a base of Milani Smoothe Base Coat followed by two coats of Zoya Barbie. Barbie can best be described as: Soft, warm medium baby pink with very subtle hot pink shimmer. An adorable girly shade to accent any outfit.

Macro shot so that you can see the gorgeous hot pink shimmer that's in Barbie

Featured in the photo above is my franken surprise for the day! I created the lovely that I am holding in my hand. I have yet to name it but it contains one of my all-time favorite color combinations: pink, black and white. This glitter topcoat is full of 2 shades of pink hexagonal glitter, black hexagonal glitter, large white hexagonal glitter and white bar glitter. All of these glitters are matte (not metallic).

I am not looking to be an indie seller (well, not anytime in the near future at least). I was just playing around with some pretty glitters and I adore the combo that I came up with. I like that the bar glitter is not overwhelming and that they actually lay flat. I hope to make a few more frankens in the future. I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on this one and if you have any name suggestions I'm all ears (well, eyes!). As always, I hope you all liked this post my dear Lacquer Luvers and I look forward to sharing tomorrow's post with you, xo!

Ooh La La Lola!

Hello Lacquer Luvers! Today I have something a little different for you. Usually, I accompany all of my posts with some form of nail art or layering. Today's polish color was just so pretty to me that I couldn't cover it up with anything. So I have some pretty swatch photos for you!

My mani began with a base of Essie Grow Faster followed by three coats of Zoya Lola. Lola is described as "Ultra-bright warm fuchsia-pink base with strong blue-violet duochrome shimmer. Edgy, bright and eye-catching but still fresh and girly." Whoever comes up with these descriptions for Zoya always nails them right on the head!

This gorgeous color was part of a trio that I received with my GMA promotion pack that also included Tobey and Yummy. It took me three coats to reach full opacity with this beauty and the application and formula were fantastic. The duochrome shimmer is absolutely gorgeous in person. I can't stop staring at my nails and am absolutely certain this will be my next pedi color!

Isn't it lovely? This is such a pretty pink for summer. I cannot wait to get it on my toes! Do you have this color? What's your go-to pink for this season? As always, I hope you all liked this post my dear Lacquer Luvers and I look forward to sharing my next post with you, xo!
