Finally Found Fowl Play!

Hello Lacquer Luvers! Today I have a beautiful polish to share with you, it is Orly Fowl Play. Orly released their Birds of a Feather Collection back in September and it contains 6 gorgeous shades ranging from cremes to incredibly shimmering & iridescent colors. This collection was inspired by nature and beautiful flocks of birds and their lovely feathers.

I have been searching high and low for this collection since it's release and had absolutely no luck. I went to my local Sally's in hopes of finding Androgynie from their new Holiday Soiree Collection. I couldn't believe they had quite a few of them there. While waiting in line, I saw their display and a Orly Gift Set. I stepped out of line and grabbed it quick since it was the only one there and someone else was at the display. In the gift set, there are 3 full size polishes from the Birds of a Feather Collection, Sweet Peacock, Lucky Duck, & Fowl Play along with a cuuute purple suede wristlet that has a detachable peacock feather zipper pull. This set retails for $9.99 at Sally's.

For this mani, I started with my OPI Nail Envy base coat followed by 3 coats of Orly Fowl Play. I topped it off with my fast dry top coat by Seche Vite.

Fowl Play is a deep purple jelly that is full of goodies! It has everything in it from blue and purple glitter to silver micro shimmer. The star of this baby are the flakies which have a stunning flash that shifts from red to green  to an orange-yellow color. Truly gorgeous! I had no problems with application and thought the formula was really great.

Do any of you guys have Fowl Play? I am really loving this deep purple flakie & cannot wait to try the other colors in this set. I hope you all like this post my dear Lacquer Luvers & I look forward to sharing tomorrow's post with you, xo!

Coastal Scents: Cosmic

Hello Lacquer Luvers! Today I have another flakie to share with you all. This one is called  Cosmic & it's one of 27 from Coastal Scents new COAT Collection. Cosmic is the only flakie in their line that also includes neutrals, creams, shimmers, & metallics.

For my mani, I started off with a base coat of OPI Nail Envy and two coats of Ebony Hates Chris from WetNWild, which is my go-to black cream for layering. Once that dried, I layered on one coat of Coastal Scents Cosmic followed by Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

As you can see here, they are small at 0.2oz but for a $3.95 flakie I think that's very reasonable. The bottles are petite and round and I found that the stem of the brush was a bit short but I didn't have a problem with application.

Cosmic is a black creme full iridescent flakies that are predominantly green once applied on the nail. The green shifts to a nice amber depending on the angle of light reaching it.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and I look forward to sharing more with you tomorrow, xo!

My 1st Blog Post

Hello everyone! I have been wanting to create my nail blog for so long and I figured why not start it today =) 11/11/11 is being celebrated by many as a day of good luck & it is my deepest wish to have the best of it with my blog. I know that green is the color of many things, besides one of my favorite colors, it has been known to symbolize nature, envy, calm & good luck. And, so I've decided to use the most amazing green in my collection, Nfu-oh 56, to help me debut my blog & spread some good luck cheer with you all, my fellow Lacquer Luvers!

Nfu-Oh 56 is the most amazing green flakie, I just can't stop staring at it! And look at how cute the bottle is, I really like their corset shape, it's so unique & feminine! I would describe this flakie as a green sheer polish full of emerald green micro glitter and green flakes. Depending on the angle, this has a flash of blue in it and it is so pretty!

For this mani, I started with a base of Milani Smoothe Base Coat followed by one coat of WetNWild's Ebony Hates Chris because I thought a black base would just make it all pop. I layered one coat of Nfu-Oh 56 over that & topped it off with top coat from Color Club.

I loved this polish so much that I thought I would make a ring using it, and I absolutely adore this! It's so pretty and sparkly! All of the green in this shot is amazing =)

Here you can see a flash of the blue in the ring, it's gorgeous!

So there you have it Lacquer Luvers, I hope you all enjoyed my 1st post & I look forward to sharing more with you! Don't forget to make your good luck wishes at 11:11 today <3
